The 2,000th aircraft… and counting at TARMAC Aerosave!

Founded in 2007 by Airbus, Safran and Suez, TARMAC Aerosave welcomed its 2,000th aircraft across all its sites to its Tarbes (France) facility at the end of April 2026.

Specialising in the maintenance, storage and recycling of aircraft and engines, our company has once again demonstrated its stability and expertise by reaching this new milestone.

A multi-site company

In order to achieve this operational excellence, TARMAC Aerosave has expanded over the years. Based in Tarbes, in the Occitanie region, the head office has grown significantly since its inception and can now accommodate more than 100 aircraft and 100 engines.

In 2013, in response to ever-increasing demand, we initially opened a second site in Spain, in Teruel in the region of Aragon. With over 120 parking spaces and the capacity to accommodate up to 20 engines, this site is now the largest storage centre in Europe.

Our third and final site, meanwhile, opened in 2017 in Toulouse-Francazal, in the Occitanie region.

Our ongoing investment and the exemplary work of our teams have made TARMAC Aerosave the European leader in aircraft storage and the world leader in aircraft recycling.

We are proud of all our teams, who work tirelessly to maintain the operational excellence that enables us to retain our customers’ trust – well done to them all. We now have our sights set on our 3,000th aircraft!
