TARMAC Aerosave has established itself as the European leader in aircraft storage and continues to grow while anticipating the evolution of the aerospace sector. The company designs sustainable solutions to support aircraft and engine owners throughout the entire lifecycle.

TARMAC Aerosave continues its expansion across the Tarbes and Teruel sites to double its aircraft recycling capacity. In Tarbes, the company’s headquarters, a new administrative building is inaugurated. This year also marks the reception of the 2,000th aircraft by TARMAC Aerosave.

The Teruel site celebrates its 10th anniversary. On this occasion, a new double-bay hangar capable of housing two A380 aircraft is inaugurated.

Inauguration of a new engine workshop in Tarbes to support the growth of its activities. That same year, TARMAC Aerosave partners with Airbus and the city of Chengdu to launch Airbus Lifecycle Services in China.

Amid the global health crisis, TARMAC Aerosave manages to store and maintain up to 225 aircraft in operational condition. The company also opens a temporary 4th site in Paris-Vatry and celebrates the arrival of its 1,000th aircraft.

A world first. TARMAC Aerosave carries out the first recycling of an Airbus A380, demonstrating its ability to handle the most complex aircraft programs.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, TARMAC Aerosave opens its third site at Toulouse-Francazal Airport.

TARMAC Aerosave inaugurates a new hangar in Tarbes capable of accommodating a Boeing 747, supporting the expansion of its activities.

TARMAC Aerosave continues its growth with the opening of a second site in Teruel, Aragón.

The 100th aircraft is welcomed in Tarbes, confirming the relevance of TARMAC Aerosave’s model. The opening of the engine shop further strengthens the company’s industrial capabilities.

An Airbus A319 becomes the first aircraft welcomed at the Tarbes site. This year also marks a major evolution for the company, as TARMAC Aerosave expands its model to include aircraft storage and maintenance alongside its recycling activities.

TARMAC Aerosave is founded in Tarbes as an extension of the PAMELA project, dedicated to aircraft recycling. Airbus, Safran Aircraft Engines and SUEZ combine their expertise to create a pioneering circular economy model for the aviation industry.
