At TARMAC Aerosave, environmental and social responsibility shape everything we do. This commitment runs through every level of our business: our operations and our teams, the way we design our facilities, and how we support aircraft throughout their lifecycle.

Our values

Our take on sustainability : excellence in action

In practical terms, a more sustainable aviation industry means making the most of what already exists before producing more, extending the life of assets, and treating every material as a resource worth preserving.

This belief has led us to put circularity at the heart of our model. It translates into practical solutions delivered by committed teams who adapt, innovate and respond to each customer’s specific needs. The numbers speak for themselves: to date, more than 450 aircraft and 250 engines have been recycled, with over 92% of an aircraft’s total weight recovered.

And we are going further:

  • Continuous research and innovation to improve the circularity of composites, aluminum, titanium and superalloys, working alongside manufacturers and partners across the industry.
  • AFRA certification, with Diamond-level performance indicators for dismantling and recycling.
  • Active contribution to industry-wide initiatives for a more sustainable aviation sector as a member of IAEG.

Health and safety come first

Being a responsible company starts with taking care of the people who make everything we do possible. That’s why health and safety are built into the way we work, every day and at every level of our operations.

In practice, that means:

  • Keeping our teams trained, with ongoing safety and emergency procedure training.
  • Keeping our facilities and equipment safe, through regular inspections and maintenance.
  • Staying ahead of risks, with work practices based on regularly reviewed risk assessments, supported by ongoing audits and monitoring.
  • Meeting the highest standards, with operations carried out in line with applicable local, national and international regulations, as well as our own health, safety and environmental requirements.

Protecting our environment, preventing pollution

Reducing our environmental footprint has been part of TARMAC Aerosave’s approach from the very beginning.

For us, that means:

  • Reducing and recycling waste through dedicated programs designed to limit our environmental impact.
  • Cutting greenhouse gas emissions by adopting cleaner technologies and more environmentally responsible practices.
  • Building environmental awareness across our teams, so everyone understands the impact of our activities and their role in reducing it.
  • Keeping a close eye on our operations, with continuous monitoring to detect and prevent environmental incidents and pollution of any kind.

People make the difference

We believe performance starts with the people who make it possible. At TARMAC Aerosave, we invest in our teams through continuous learning, skills development and hands-on support, giving everyone the opportunity to grow and take responsibility.

We move forward as one team, sharing knowledge, supporting one another and treating each other with respect. Because when it comes to safety, quality and trust, everything starts with the strength of the team.

Our people share their stories

“What makes our company unique is undoubtedly the breathtaking view of the Pyrenees, in both summer and winter. Combined with modern, high-quality facilities, it offers a truly exceptional working environment. As General Services Manager, I am proud to contribute to this environment, where it is a pleasure to work all year round.”

“Being part of TARMAC Aerosave for nearly a year has shown me that, here, talent and empathy really do count. Working alongside young people, in such a welcoming environment where my professional contributions are valued, fills me with pride and joy every day.”

“With just a baccalaureate under my belt, I could never have imagined such a career path in the aviation industry! After 15 years with the company, I’ve progressed from an inventory clerk in the dismantling department to Regulatory and Process Coordinator, having held various roles within the Technical Department along the way. TARMAC Aerosave placed its trust in me, and that trust has made all the difference.”

“What I appreciate most about the engine shop is the diversity of our activities: each project brings a new technical challenge, which pushes us to keep improving. Our team is dynamic and regularly welcomes new talent. It’s exciting to be part of a team that’s growing and moving forward together.”

“The atmosphere at TARMAC Francazal feels like a family, with management that really listens. In our open space, we know how to be serious, but we also know how to let loose! We support each other across departments, and that’s what makes us strong. Throughout the year, a variety of events are organized, both outdoors and on site.”
